Love this place in little Balmorhea. Charming atmosphere. Best tamale with balance between masa and shredded beef stuffing. Homemade salsa was yummy with great chips. Refried beans flavorful. Ice tea COLD and brewed right. Two guests pictured were dressed seasonably well but stiff and hard to talk with.

MEXICAN FOOD MADE WITH LOVE. This is where to eat when you finally realize most Mexican/Tex-Mex food is just assembled from pre-made tortillas, canned enchilada sauce, canned beans and whatever shortcuts that we've come to accept as resturant fare. This place that still makes their own sauces, tortillas, beans, rice and other items from scratch. Come here to be reminded what a rush it is to have food cooked and spiced the old fashioned way.

The cutest restaurant in Balmorrhea also has some amazing food. The food has a New Mexico flare with stacked enchiladas. The blackened catfish was delicious, covered in fresh, sauteed veggie. I loved the food. Green enchiladas have so much spice. Nice outdoor patio filled with pollinators around a lovely fountain.

Excellent find while staying at Balmorhea State Park! The food & service was excellent and the salsa had just the right amount of spice, for me. The crispy tacos were very tasty!

Choice place for Mexican food. Dinning area was nicely decorated and clean. Ordered the bear plate and chalupa plate. Complimentary chips and salsa were delivered to our table with drinks promptly. Plate orders came in short time. Everything we tasted was delicious and with authentic Mexican flavors. Service was excellent. We very much enjoyed dining here.

A charming Mexican restaurant, which is surprisingly spacious inside. On this Tuesday afternoon, we noticed several local patrons dining there, which gave us confidence in the establishment. The salsa and chips were plentiful and flavorful. The tacos, enchiladas, tamales, rice, and beans were all delicious.

A charming old fashioned family restaurant with the best chips we've ever had to go with a good salsa, and THE best fajitas I've ever had! It has a beautiful patio outside and several small rooms inside if you want a more intimate dinner.
